First published July 14 2000 THE murder of a man at Stonehenge has shed new light on the historical site which until now was thought to have been abandoned 2,000 years earlier. Carbon dating of the only complete skeleton to be excavated from the Wiltshire stone circle reveals that it is 1,300 years old - whereas experts had thought the last people to use Stonehenge were there 3,500 years ago.
