First published on June 24, 1966 QUESTIONS about the Druids ceremony at Stonehenge are to be asked in the Commons. Next Monday Mr Michael Hamilton (Con, Salisbury) will ask. Mr Reg Prentice, the Minister of Works, to state the cost to public funds of ensuring order at the simmer-solstice ceremony by the provision of police guard dogs and protective wire. Mr Hamilton also wants to know how much of this cost is borne by 'an organisation described as Druids,' and what steps the Minister takes to satisfy himself that this organisation has an historic connection with Stonehenge before letting them hold the ceremony there.
