Giving crop circles a plug in the heart of Wiltshire

MYSTERY surrounds the sudden appearance of a plug shaped crop circle at Beckhampton, near Avebury. The strange symbol has received particular interest due to its close proximity to the 5,000 year old Avebury stone circle and Silbury Hill.

Supernatural expert Alex Shaw, of Weird Sightings JLA, is investigating. He said: "The cryptic symbol offers no explanation as to how it appeared. We have investigated the site and there are very few indicators, whomever carried out this was quick, clever and trying to tell us something.

"What is particularly eerie about it is that it resembles a plug, and rumour has it that electronic items mysteriously fail when used near the ancient energy lines running through the village. "Whether this is a message from beyond or a freak coincidence is uncertain, but nothing can be ruled out at this stage and our investigation will continue."

The Weird Sightings team is keen to discover the origin of this symbol and is urging people to come forward by e-mailing them at [email protected]
