Stunning geometric crop circles baffle the experts

TWO crop circles said to be among the "most beautiful" ever seen have mysteriously appeared on a hillside near Swindon. The geometrical shapes, each several hundred metres in circumference, were discovered on Friday morning beneath Badbury Castle near Junction 15 of the M4. Experts say they are baffled by their meaning and by the way the waisthigh wheat has been flattened. "They are just exquisite, it is though the wheat has been exploded downwards," said Michael Glickman, who has been studying circles for seven years.
By Saturday the two patterns were attracting considerable public interest and farmer Bill Whatley, of Bush House Farm, was charging £2 admission to the field.
