Message: 2 months ago I was driving down a byway near Stratford Tony when a large cat jumped out from a hedge and started runing down the track. It was the size of a small labrador, with short gray/silver fur and long muscular tail. We followed it for maybe 15 to 20 seconds before it jumped back into the hedge. Never seen anything like it before, if you've got any idea's of what it was I would like to know. Cheers. Email.

Message: Me and my friend Matt saw a large Black Cat like creature run across a field and jumped over a barbed wire fence and dissappeared into the woods on the hills near Ashbury about 5-6 years ago but thought it was stupid because we thought there couldn't be large cats here. But seeing this website has changed my ideas on what we saw.

Message: Travelling from Kempsford to Hannington tonight at 10.30pm we saw a black panther running along the side of the road - our car headlights caught it's eyes and we could see by the way it was running that it was a large cat (in size it was bigger than any large dog), as it ran alongside the car we could see that it was a black panther or jaguar. We have reported the sighting to Gloucestershire Police, who have said that this is not the first sighting they have had reported.

Message: Don't know whether this would be relevant to your site, but last Sunday (26th Jan), I saw a large black cat (very big, much bigger than a domestic cat and certainly not a dog) in a field near my home in Calne. If you would like to know more, please contact me, I phoned the police but they weren't really interested, although they did file the siting.
